Full-text search of PDF-files

Hi, I uploaded a couple of PDF-files that contain certain keywords. When I try to search for those keywords through the library search I get "no results found". The PDF-files are not scanned documents but e-magazines, with searchable text (e. g. searchable within Acrobat Reader). Would you happen to know what the cause of this is?
