I no longer use Mendeley desktop as my reference manager and have moved my pdf archive to a different location on my computer to be used by another program. However, it appears that Mendeley desktop is the only reasonable way to manage the publications that appear in my online profile. The problem is, whenever I open the program it starts downloading thousands of pdfs that are still hanging around in my online library.
If I simply delete everything in "all documents" that also deletes everything in "my publications" so that is not a solution.
How can I prevent the pdfs from my online library from downloading?
