I recently made the mistake of trying to open an XML from ERIC (https://eric.ed.gov/?download) with Mendeley desktop. The result was hundreds of thousands of empty references being generated in a reference database that synced to Mendelley online. I reset my account because it was impossible to remove so many references. But now when I attempt to sync my desktop and online accounts I get the error message above. No idea whats going on, I would appreciate any help. Cheers
