Cannot change citation style
I am writting a paper and want to change the citation style of IEEE. But everytime I was prompted to the web page and click the edit button for selected style, the error comes as"cannot fetch style:http://www.zetero.org/styles/apa (Error:503) please select a different style to edit " and then the website will return to the "search by name" page. Even if I change many different styles, none of them is allowed to be edited. What's wrong with Mendeley, I am struggling with this problem for more than 2 months and still find the function is not working. Be crazy about Mendeley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lost custom citation style in CSL
Help! I had shared the url to my custom citation style for Bioscene with Sebastian Karcher and now Mendeley informs me that it can no longer find it in its databank. I have it still installed on my laptop (Mendeley Desktop) but I need to transfer/copy the style over to my desktop. On my laptop, this is the URL that Mendeley Desktop provides me with:
http://csl.mendeley.com/styles/59662261/Bioscene-Neil-Haave
But when I paste that URL into my desktop installation of Mendeley Desktop, it reports that it cannot be located.
How do I load up my Bioscene citation style from my laptop to the Mendeley CSL? I have tried clicking on edit in my laptop installation of Mendeley, but again get the note that the CSL cannot find the citation style.
Thanks!

my web library does not synchronise
Since Elsevier took over and requested to change some settings in my account, Mendeley web does not synchronise anymore with my desktop library. Mendeley web is completely empty, but luckily I have all my files on my desktop. After backing up my library, I have reconnected Mendeley desktop with my web account and hit the Synchronise button. However no files appear on my Mendeley web. I sent an email but as always nobody responded. I hope somebody can help me because I would really not want to switch back to endnote, but this is very frustrating...thanks in advance (by the way I work with an iOS)

Save to Mendeley Web log in doesn't work
Hi,
I'm experiencing a problem with logging in to Mendeley when using the Save to Mendeley feature. When I click Save to Mendeley from my favourites bar on Safari, the sign in screen appears. After typing in the login details and clicking sign in, Mendelely appears to think about signing in before returning me to the login screen without any error message or indication as to what has gone wrong.
Logging in to Mendeley desktop works fine but without the web importer signing in, I have to import all relevant journal articles manually.
Any help with this would be much appreciated! Thanks.

How do I remove some or all references on Mendeley Web? Does Mendeley Web store deleted files?

Saved references from Mendeley Feed
Hello,
I received an e-mail from Mendeley with research articles they thought may be of interest to me, due to similar articles in my own personal library.
I read the abstract very quickly and clicked on save reference. The references were saved, but I am not sure where I can find them again?
Thanks.

Mendeley User and Word plugin problem
Hi there,
I need your advice on my problem regarding using Mendeley in word. As you can see in the screen above, I get this message and after I hit yes, the plugin appear and let me find a citation. However, as soon as I choose a reference and insert, I get the message below. I tried both answering Yes and No , but it doesn’t’ make a difference. My word document will be freezed and become impossible to carry one or even close the document, while showing {formatting citation}.
Although I uninstalled and removed both Mendely Desctop and Mendeley plug in but still this problem remain.
Please advise how I can fix this error?
I appreciate your prompt reply.
Best wishes

How do I import multiple data by using Web importer
Hi.
I want to import multiple data by using Mendeley Web importer.
According to the document:
https://www.mendeley.com/import/information-for-publishers/
the Web Importer currently supports two types, HTML meta tags and COinS. Then I think these types are could express only single data.
However the following url could import multiple data.
http://ci.nii.ac.jp/books/search/export?s=3&f=exportMendeley&n=B6794s9B7792im
For example:
https://www.mendeley.com/import/?format=bib&url=http%3A%2F%2Fci.nii.ac.jp%2Fbooks%2Fsearch%2Fexport%3Fs%3D3%26f%3DexportMendeley%26n%3DB6794s9B7792im
The data format seems to be BibTeX. Does Web importer support BibTeX format? If not, do you have any sugesstions?

Wrong Benjamin Butler included in my profile
Dear Mendeley,
There is currently an incorrect publication on my Mendeley profile.
The article titled "Chiral base mediated transformation of cyclic 1,3-diketones" and the associated author (Benjamin Butler) should not be linked to my profile.
Many thanks,
Benjamin Butler

Possible bug? Adding second publication manually seems to overwrite first
Background: I had a Mendeley account set up that I hadn't really used. I just merged my Elsevier account in and set the password to the one from my Elsevier account.
To reproduce:
1. Logged in as myself, I go to
https://www.mendeley.com/profiles/philip-reed/
2. I start with no publications. Click on the plus sign for "Add your publications"
3. Upload a publication. Seems to work.
4. Now under publication, Add -- Add entry manually -- Type in a title.
OBSERVED: The first publication has apparently taken on the title of the second one, and there is only one!
If I delete, start over, upload the first publication, and upload (rather than manually enter) the second, then go away and do something else, I come back and see both the manual entry and the uploaded entry for Publication #2, so perhaps it's in the system. The number of readers for the manual entry appears to have been copied from *Publication #1*, not the corresponding uploaded Publication #2.
In all cases I'm looking at the number in parenthesis after All(..) to tell how many publications are there.
Note also that it appears to increment the count each time I upload my own paper but doesn't decrement when I delete it.

Citation style
Hello
Thanks for your help
I use Mendeley for managing the citations in my article.
According to my university rule, it should be APA style (American Psychological Association) and it should be as the following example:
(Daily & Dollinger, 1992; Eisenhardt, 1989; Fama& Jensen, 1983; Jensen&Meckling, 1976)
But when I choose in Mendeley the APA style, it looks like:
((Anderson & Reeb, 2003), (Pukthuanthong, Walker, & Thiengtham, 2013), (Maury, 2006).
What kind of style should I choose in order to get the style I mentioned above
Thanks a lot

Check if the article is already in my library
Is there a way to know before I download an article from somewhere like pubmed, if I might already have it in my mendeley library? I'm testing this out and it seems to let me save the same article over and over.

Get Full Text: Mendeley now works with your local library via OpenURL
The options mentioned on this blog page https://blog.mendeley.com/2011/02/28/get-full-text-mendeley-now-works-with-your-local-library-via-openurl/ are not available. In particular : "Click the My Account button in the upper right corner of Mendeley Web, and select Account Details, then the Sharing/Importing tab, or just click the picture below to go there directly.Open URL settings" - I can't see any of those options and the link doesn't work either.
Please advise. Thanks

Highlighting fails in certain PDF Documents.
In the mendeley web version, highlighting doesn't work as expected in some documents. Sometimes not the text I selected was highlighted.
One problem seems to be vertical text at the page margin.
Example:
https://www.mendeley.com/viewer/?fileId=1d5e9271-87be-7e77-0e04-47336621e282&documentId=4a11093f-b066-3013-a3c4-d96b9233c346
Try to highlight text in the abstract. Instead the note at the page margin will be highlighted.
Best,
Gregor Sturm

rotate pages, transfer and sync annotations
(1) How do I rotate the pages if my pdfs were scanned and imported sideways?
(2) How do I transfer my annotations from one device to another? (Eg,. I do most of my reading and annotating on the Mac App, but when I open it online, I do not see the annotations I made.)
